I was refused PIP in October. I a
plied for a mandatory reconsideration at the beginning of October as soon as I got decision. I have not heard anything since then. Please can anybody give me any guidance as to how long it takes for DWP to mak a decision. The crazy thing is I was awarded LCWRA.

How did you apply for Mandatory Reconsideration?
Phone or post?
Always better to do it in writing, there is a form that you can use, plus further evidence you can send in if needed.0 -
MR typically takes up to 3 months.0

It can take about 12 weeks to get a decision on your Mandatory Reconsideration. With the postal strikes & the holiday period you may still have a bit of a wait.0

They are both completely different. Being awarded the one doesn't automatically entitle you to the other.kevwhite said:The crazy thing is I was awarded LCWRA.
