Do you have to be living with the person you care for to be able to claim the Carers Element

Carers element has the same rules as carers allowance. The only difference is carers allowance has a maximum weekly earnings limit. The carers element should have been included in his maximum UC entitlement. The only exception to this is when someone is claiming LCWRA for their self, they can't claim carers element at the same time. All advised in that thread.
