Does anyone know if you actually have to have doctor's or medical diagnosis to get Pip because I sometimes read that you don't need it to claim, because when I got my PIP report back it said that I hadn't any medical diagnosis for my memory problem.

I have gone to my doctor on different occasion's about my memory over the last 6 o7 years, I also went last year where she gave me a quick test and then decided to put me down to see the memory clinic which coming in April, surely this should be enough proof that I'm struggling with my memory.

No, you don't need any diagnosis to be entitled to PIP. What matters is how those conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities.

That's a classic copy and paste reason and you shouldn't take too much notice of that.

@poppy123456 Thanks for your reply, because the way the report was written was very much like there no proof you have memory problem because you haven't got anything proof from a doctor, so I think that could why they didn't give me the PIP.

if you get a copy of your Local Care Record from your GP that should record all your GP appointments.
