I am getting income support and PIP standard living and enhanced mobility
my question is why am I not getting severe disability premium?

SDP isn't automatically paid, whether you're entitled to it will depend on who you live with and whether anyone claims either carers allowance or carers element of UC for looking after you.If you live with a partner or any other adults they must also be claiming either a qualifying disability benefit such as PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care, AA or be registered blind.0

I live with my daughter but she works. Does this mean I can’t claim it?0

Unless she has a disability benefit then you are not eligible for SDP (I assume she is an adult). As poppy saidtracie1310 said:I live with my daughter but she works. Ok thank you. Seems very unfair 😔0

Able bodied family members who live with you are expected to assist you, if you live alone the SDP is intended to help with paying people to help you. (I'm not making any comment on the merit of that argument - the government have decided SDP is illogical and have therefore removed it from UC.)tracie1310 said:Ok thank you. Seems very unfair 😔0 -
