LCWRA back pay

Hi all 
I'm just a bit confused and would like some advice . In July 2022 I came out of work due to my health .  Job center still wanted me to go in and have appointments and look for work . I provided monthly unfit to work from my doctor  to UC . My work coach then put me on list for assessment  for LCWRA  in September 2022 I have now had my assessment and been awarded the LCWRA  Feb 2023. I provided fit notes every month other than November and January as couldn't get appointment with my doctor . 
Would I be entitled to any back pay from them  ?

    When you report a health condition, you're supposed to send fit notes the whole time without any gaps. Gaps in your fit notes can affect when the LCWRA element is paid from. It will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision.

    If they go from July 2022 then your first payment will be either Nov or Dec, depending on the exact date you sent your first fit note and what date you usually receive your money each month. This is because there's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month of your claim.

    Just to add, if they don't accept the gaps in the fit notes the waiting period will start from the assessment period in which the decision was made.
