X2 PAY DAYS IN SAME ASSESSMENT PERIOD

So on my payment statement today I saw that UC have taken deductions from x2 pay days which fell in the same assessment period.
so my assessment period is 20th Jan - 19th Feb. I was paid from my job on 20th Jan and then on 17th Feb as im paid 4 weekly.
I obviously didn’t know that this could happen and haven’t budgeted for this to happen and it’s now left me short on paying my rent as UC have taken x2 lots of deductions for the same assessment period.
Has this ever happened to anyone else and is there anything I can do?

My Feb wages were my last as I had to resign in January for health reasons. I always thought UC worked one month in arrears so I thought my Feb wages would be deducted in my March Payment?

Yes this happens once a year if you’re paid 4 weekly rather than monthly.Yes UC is paid 1 month in arrears but earnings received during your assessment periods will reduce your UC. Can I ask a work coach if my Feb earnings can be moved to my March assessment period? I read somewhere online that others have done that?

No, unfortunately you can’t because you can only do this if you’re paid monthly.
