Moving from Child dla to pip

Hi I applied for pip as my son is now 16 he was on DLA Pip has awarded him higher in both components so there is a difference in nearly £300 per month will I get the difference backdated from I first claimed for pip 2 months ago ??

As advised on your other thread here https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/102620/my-son-has-been-awarded-pip-when-will-it-be-backdated-to#latest you will not be owed any money for the difference between both awards because your son transferred from DLA.The first PIP payment will be in about 7 weeks after the decision was made.

A little off topic @SHIRLEYELIZABETH but I see you have a 16 yr old. If you go to the parent forum of this site and see the thread "guardianship process"
Open there and you will see i posted a link which links to a site with really useful info for parents of young adults.
There are 3 podcasts within that link, podcast number 2 is especially informative about managing benefit payments, being an appointee etc.
A lot of stuff i wish i had known when my son was 16 (he is 25 this year)
