Hello I won my appeal for lcwra on the 13\02\23 and I've been told today what my back pay will be and that they are not giving it me for the first 3\4 months because it's for this claim but what I'm waiting to know is from when I first started to claim uc I've all ways had lcwra that's since 2018 I joined claims with a partner at the time in 2021 and enjoined in 2022 so this is why it started as a new claim is it right what he is saying that I have to start the 3\4 months again because it's like I've got a new claim or should that not matter

In a previous thread you said you went from a joint to a single claim in August/Sept 2022 and your partner at the time was already receiving the LCWRA element on your claim so you won't be entitled to it from when you reported the changes. It should be from the assessment period when you went to a single claim. As you already had LCW then the waiting period doesn't apply.
