I know i have read that quite a few times, people advising to go all the way though, I would just be too scared and emotional. I did have a missed call yesterday but only 1, I've read if they do randomly call you and you don't answer, they will try again later? But that didn't happen for me so I don't think it was the HP. Only thing I find strange is when I try to call back the mobile number, its saying sorry this number doesn't exist.. so I'm full of anxiety wondering if it COULD have been them and I've lost my chance to answer any questions. I'm just not sure how it works if I have missed a call from HP0

They will certainly call again if they miss you @HayleyRX but remember that you will be given advanced notice of when this will be, a date and a time, so that you can prepare for the call.1

Hi again. I thought I would just update my post and inform that 15months later, I finally have my p.i.p assesment ( telephone ) on the 16th march at 9.00am. Very very happy but very very nervous!! The worse part is I didn't take photos of my claim before sending it off but luckily I can remember alot what I wrote0

No sorry I have edited it now. 16th of March, my bad.0

@HayleyRX
Hi I just want to wish you well for your assessment. You’ll be fine.
I have had 2 assessments face2face and had my last assessment by telephone, and I found the telephone one much easier for me, as I was in my own familiar surroundings and felt more at ease.I hope this helps a bit.
Take care ❤️0 -
Aww thank you for your kind words. Yes I'm hoping I feel the same way as my 1st assessment years ago was a f2f. X1

Glad you finally got a date @HayleyRX
Keeping everything crossed! 🤞

Can I ask if your assesments were long? I know every 1 has different circumstances but I'm wondering if review assesments tend to be shorter then some 1 who is having a new claim looked at.0
-
The assessment times completely vary from 10 mins to over an hour, and whether it's a new claim seems to be irrelevant0

OK great thank you0

@HayleyRX
My assessment was just over an hour and the time flew by. The only advice I would say is be totally honest don't play down or feel embarrassed at what you cannot do at the same time don't exaggerate as what my hubby did notice is they asked me the same question a couple of times just a different way and my answers remained similar to the previous questions.
Oh and try and stay calm when having assessment and have water or a cuppa beside you.
I took my assessment call in my bedroom where I knew I would have peace and quiet but hubby was in the house just incase I found it too overwhelming (I didn't) I found the HP to be professional and very understanding.
Good luck 👍1 -
Awww thank you every one

Today was the day of my assessment. It lasted 50minutes & I thought it went really well. My assesor was very very nice and seem to be very understanding. I received a text in a matter of 3-4 hours after saying the DWP has received my report & it could take 6 weeks. I'm so glad it is over. Thank you to every 1 who helped me with my questions on this forum1

Can I call and ask for a copy of my report yet or is this too soon? Thanks0

You can request the report at anytime once it's been returned. Please do be aware that it's not the decision letter, it's a recommendation only. Whilst they usually go with the report, they can go against it but it's rare.
