As i advised, carers element will increase your maximum UC entitlement by £168.81/month. It will not affect your other elements.

So my call this week for Limited capability for work and work-related activity if i don't get that i can just claim carers for my wife even though i work 24 hours and get pip. Could of done this ages ago but never knew about it.

You should report the changes now. I think you're missing the point about my advice with LCWRA element for yourself. Even if you're awarded this, you will not receive the extra money in your UC.
You can claim carers element, even if you've been found to have LCWRA because you won't be receiving that extra money for LCWRA.
Working and claiming PIP doesn't affect your entitlement to claim carers element. It has no earnings limit like carers allowance does.

You can be found to have LCWRA but as i advised several times, you won't receive any extra money for this because your wife already receives it. When claiming UC with a partner you will only be entitled to 1 LCWRA element per claim.

No, you need to To claim it you need to "report a change of circumstances" by logging into your journal (assuming you have one) then click "caring for someone" then tell them you care for your wife.

Not from when she started the LCWRA element. You can claim it because she's claiming daily living PIP. It's unsually paid from the assessment period in which you reported the changes, unless you told them previously that you were her carer.

Can you tell me why they never told us this and what's the point of all the fit notes i have done and them calling me next week if i'm not going to get anything.

My wifes pip claim was from 19/08/2022 and gets daily living standard rate from that date so shall i put that. Or do you mean from today because that when i reported the change.

You would think they would have advised you this. When you reported your health condition supported by fit notes, they would have automatically referred you for a work capability assessment. It would have been useful if you couldn't claim carers element because then you wouldn't have had any work related requirements if you didn't work.

You can put the start date of her PIP award and see what they say. It will be down to a decision maker to decide when the carers element is paid from. If they didn't know your wife is claiming daily living PIP then they couldn't have advised you about carers element..(but i'm not saying they would have, if they did know)

You're welcome. Once a decision is made you will receive a letter on your journal. You will not have any work requirements as a carer. Other than that there's nothing else.

They will still ring you unless you cancel the assessment. You will need to contact them if you want to cancel it.

As i advised, you can still be found to have LCWRA but you won't be entitled to any extra money because your wife already receives the LCWRA element on your claim.

Even if found to have LCWRA you can still claim carers element because you won't be entitled to the extra money for LCWRA. As carer you won't have any work related requirements anyway.
