I am having a pip video assessment soon
i have dementia and chronic back pain
can anyone guide me through,I have been on pip for 8 years

    It seems like they've already filled out the forms and it's advice about the video assessment they have coming up that they are asking for.

    @navalnurse if you kept a copy of the form you returned you should have a read of that before the assessment so you can remind yourself of what you told them.
    The assessment can last anywhere from 20 to 120 minutes. They will be asking questions about your health conditions and how they affect you. I can't tell you exactly what they will ask because i don't know how your conditions affect you.
    Some find it helpful to write some notes before the assessment to have something to refer to. Make sure you have a drink near you, incase it's needed.

    The biggest help to me was having my husband with me for the review. He helped if I felt overwhelmed or anxious. Do you have someone who could be there with you? I also agree to have a drink with you (my assessment was over an hour) and to have notes beforehand for you to refer to. If you have chronic pain, it's ok to ask for a moment to move around or get yourself comfortable throughout the assessment. I needed time out at one point and my assessor was very understanding and kind.

    I have early onset dementia diagnosed last January and this is a new condition I had added to pip when I had send booklet back,which I did with all GP letters I had
    i have written a load of things down in order of the pip test to have at hand as I forget 3verything 2 minutes later if not
