I was really excited when building work began for a downstairs bedroom for Alice, after a two year wait. however now it is nearly finished the realisation of why it is necassary has hit in, and it is like diagnosis day all over again. Is it normal to feel this?

It's completely normal, but the blow will lessen with time as you learn to accept not just with your mind, but with your heart too.

thank-you. I am feeling a bit better about it now. The next panic will be when she moves in to it, and she is downstairs, I have already got the baby monitors out and ready, or we will only be up and down all night listening at the door!
