Hello all, hope you’re all well. First time on here and unsurprisingly it’s because I need to pick your brains and tap into your knowledge please 🙏🏻

    Hi Sandy_123, many thanks for responding. Bit long winded….. my brother (46) lives in residential care (10+yrs), has cerebral palsy and is on the autistic spectrum. Happy where he lives. Only other relative passed away 2020 and I have always continued to see him at my home every week for ‘family time’. We are extremely close and I have been actively involved in maintaining his happiness and mental well-being in conjunction with him and his ‘home’. (Residential care home have Legal Guardianship since our Father passed away as I cannot naturally take the role of next of kin legally). His home have said his behaviour is a concern this week so have stopped his weekly visit home to me until this is resolved (put him under house arrest in effect). This will only make his behaviour worse I know as he needs his ‘downtime’ and peace and quiet with me and his routines are crucial to his behaviour. Does he/I have any rights without compromising his care?

    I would call a meeting at why his behaviour gas changed and  discuss his visits with you. Does your brother have a social worker

    I echo what Sandy said about asking for a meeting to find why his behaviour has changed. It may be worth reaching out to Citizen's Advice to find out about any rights you have over his care.
