I'm wondering if some 1 can help me with this, I requested yesterday a copy of my p.i.p assessment. It looks like it's going to stay the same. I know this is not the final out come but 9/10 they go with the report. Anyway I have noticed in the  " Justification for descriptor choice " they have wrote A change of award has been reccomended considering the claimants condition has worsened.... so I'm wondering what this could mean? I do fully understand that this is not the final decision.

They have wrote this twice too. On separate pages.

Does any 1 know much about this? He's recommended a change in award for daily and mobility but only scored 4 points for mobility so not sure how they can reccomend a change in award without giving enough points? Thank you if any 1 knows much about this.

Do you have a current mobility award? If so a change could mean no mobility award recommended, which would still be a change.

No I am currently not on mobility. He also said recommended change in award as claimant condition has worsened

I do understand that this is not the decision, I am just confused as to why he would reccomend an award in mobility when only scoring me 4 points for it.. doesn't nake sense to me. I do believe I should have the mobility.

You can ring PIP to ask for a decision maker to ring you before they make their decision.

What is the purpose of these calls? I just don't want to ruin my chances by looking cheeky and ringing up to speak to some one. I don't really understand the purpose? Would I just say something like I was confused over the report or ? Any advice would be very grateful. Thank you 😊

Just point out the contradiction in that section of the report. The purpose is to try to get your point across before the decision is made. Once the decision is made if you're not happy you can then request the MR.

I had a decision 8 days after my assessment. I'm still waiting for the letter but I called up and its staying the same. I'm thinking of doing an MR but I am clueless as in where to start and what to do. Could any one help me please

As far as PIP goes, it's not about any diagnosis, but rather how your disability affects certain activities of daily living &/mobility. Have a look again at the activities/descriptors that are looked at with PIP:
It's best to put any MR in writing, saying where you feel you should have got points & why. So, try & give a couple of recent, detailed examples as to the difficulty you face for each applicable descriptor, i.e. when did it happen, where, what happened, did anyone see this, & were there any consequences to attempting/doing an activity?
Say if you can't do an activity 'reliably,' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, repeat as often as one would reasonably expect, or if it takes you much longer than someone without a disability. See this mentioned at the end of the link above.
If you do your MR as a letter, ensure you put your name & National Insurance number on each page. Keep a copy, & get a free Certificate of Posting from your Post Office when sending it off.

Thank you so much. Can I just ask. Will my payments stop while they look at the decision again.

Your award will continue while you wait for the decision.

You should put the MR request in writing rather than ring to request it.

Oh right i see. I thought I had to ring up to fill in a form before I sent over my letters and stuff. So basically, I should just start writing it now and send it straight over to them? Thank you so much for replying back :)
