Hi everyone nice to be part of the community. I am a stroke surviver and find that people that haven't experienced a disability don't really understand how you feel and look forward chatting to people in similar situations as me

Hi @gibsonlp welcome to scopes forum sorry to read about your stroke. Your right about people not understanding until they get a disability. Feel free to join in with the conversations going around.

Thanks sandy

Hi @gibsonlp - & welcome to the community from me also. I'm sure you'll find everyone here both helpful & supportive. It really does make a difference being in a community where there's such a good understanding about disability, even if we have different ones!

Hello and a warm welcome to our online community @gibsonlp how are you keeping?
I think a lot of us can relate to others not fully comprehending our realities, as they say you often have to have 'walked in someone's shoes' to get it. If you want to talk to us some more about your situation, then we're all ears. Otherwise please make yourself at home, perhaps taking a look in our virtual coffee lounge to get to know our members a little better and play some games?
Take care and I hope you have a lovely Easter weekend if you are celebrating.Online Community Co-ordinator
