I don't think it really matters what form or question you ask a Government employee they will always come up with the same answer - I am still trying to track down the social worker and her 'student' who came to do a 'Carers Assessment' last October - I now have a Health Coach and an OT from our GP surgery involved, I wonder if there is a 'black hole' hovering locally because they seem to have 'disappeared also!????0

stay_positive said:Got cut off lol , can I check online maybe ?
No, you can't check online. The options you need to choose are 2 and then 6.

stay_positive said:I received the text messages too and also a letter saying they have all the evidence and will write to me when they have made the decision . It's all mental torture to add to our misery and illnesses , the system is cruel , this is my opinion of course , some might think its amazing .

Is there a rough timeline between this text and decisions, or is it just an automated message? Thank you
It's an automated message sent to everyone. Timescales from when the report was returned is between 2-12 weeks.

It's an automated message sent to everyone. Timescales from when the report was returned is between 2-12 weeks. Not everyone receives a text if they've successfully been awarded. If the worst happens then you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration, then the Tribunal if needed.Although MR has a low success rate of 23%, the Tribunal has a 73% success rate if you either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing.0 -

The idea behind them was to try to stop people ringing for updates and to try to help with the anxiety with all the waiting. It didn't work because people still ring and get anxious, perfectly understandable.I feel the same stress and anxiety, despite my knowledge. For me though it's double whammy because i have my daughters PIP and work capability assessments to deal with too.1

stay_positive said:Poppy , yes it is the anxiety of it all , but we get through it don't we lol. I think I and almost everyone just vent our frustration , thank goodness or we'd explode
We do get through it, eventually.Yes, it's good to vent!
