I don't know how it works in  England and Wales! But I live in Scotland and esa, well just let's say that they have been trying to get everyone to universal credit for over 5 years now so that anyone who has been disabled before that has been changed!! And now pip is going bye bye now so that the Scottish government can get more control over us all.
Just got used to the pip system and now disabled payment's and going to be rolled out  and when it starts I will have to wait 4 weeks until they will have the first payment so what that means is 8 weeks until money  and if you are living from 14 days at a time for your money but a mobility payment once a month really dose help, so just to let you all know how we are getting done up like everyone else who depends on it!!!

This sounds really difficult @teful and, particularly, like a loss of control  :( Would anything, in particular, support you whilst you are waiting for your payment?  :)

The same rules apply nationally for ESA and UC. All areas have been UC since end of December 2018. Those that are claiming Income Related ESA will not be invited to claim UC until at least 2028 (with the exception of those claiming tax credits as well)

The disability white paper that was announced during the budget isn't set in stone yet. This won't start until at least 2026/27 and possibly as late as 2029 for some claimants, if it even goes ahead.

As you live in Scotland you will be transferred from PIP to Adult disability Payment (ADP) at some point but i believe you will be automatically transferred and will receive the same award as you have for PIP.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
