I have posted here regarding filling an is10 form before and I’m having trouble trying to contact them.
The number starts with 01482 and it’s in Hull is that strange as it’s not the normal esa number?
or is the 01482 number just a direct number that deals with is10forms?

I can’t seem to find anything with the 01482 number on google and starting to worry0

I have no idea what that number is. Usually when you apply for SDP you ring the usual ESA number, which is 0800 169 0310. I'm not aware of there being a separate number/department that deals with just this.1

It was the number given on is10 form, it’s a direct number and doesn’t have any call waiting time like DwP number, I thought maybe it could be the processing department number or something, I’m gonna call the regular number now to see what’s going on. Thanks for reply0

The only number i can see on the IS10 form is an old 0345 number which used to be the number to ring DWP many years ago. They changed to 0800 quite a few years ago. See IS10 form here. https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/243895/response/599159/attach/3/Acrobat Document IS10.pdf

so it is strange, I’m on the phone now to find out what’s this all about.0

Did you manage to find out @sd100?0

Yes I spoke to someone from official dwp phone number and they said it’s something they are aware of and because they are so busy they are outsourcing cases to other departments that aren’t as busy to speed up the backlogs.0

I must add that it’s quite strange when you are owed money from dwp it’s all very cloak and dagger’s trying to get answers as to what’s going on but if it’s the other way round and you owe them anything they are very precise and quick to tell you everything.0

The reason why it's taking so long for you is because of the length of time they need to look at. I wouldn't expect it to be overnight.
