Is there a rough timeline between this text and decisions, or is it just an automated message? Thank you
It's an automated message sent to everyone. Timescales from when the report was returned is between 2-12 weeks.0 -

It's all mental torture to add to our misery and illnesses , the system is cruel , this is my opinion of course , some might think its amazing .The texts were never sent back in 2016. The idea behind them was to try to stop people ringing for updates and to try to help with the anxiety with all the waiting. It didn't work because people still ring and get anxious, perfectly understandable.I feel the same stress and anxiety, despite my knowledge. For me though it's double whammy because i have my daughters PIP and work capability assessments to deal with too.
I claim ESA too and for me i always find ESA reviews worse than the PIP ones.

I am so glad to come onto the forum and see how members can help each other, be able to vent and hopefully start to rid some of that anxiety over the whole process!3

That's not correct, what makes you think this? New style ESA has nothing to do with a PIP award. For the disabled element of WTC because you do not work yourself you will not be entitled to this. See link. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/disability-elementThere's a severe disability element of WTC that is possible if you don't work but your partner does. However to claim this you must be receiving Enhanced daily living PIP. Standard daily living PIP doesn't qualify you for this element. See link. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/severe-disability-element

stay_positive said:I would have been entitled to old style esa had I been awarded back in 2016, but now it isn't available to me because that is a legacy benefit and has now ended for people who do not or have not earned NIC , I don't qualify for either now because I finished as my mums carer in May 2021, as for wtc disability element , well again no worries , I am just looking at all the benefits that I might be entitled to . I hate it I feel like a real scrounger , but I am just looking . I do not qualify for new style esa nor old style as old style has finished .You wouldn't have been entitled to Income Related ESA at that time if you were living with your husband and he was working more than 24 hours/week. If he was working less than this then the earnings disregard would have been £20/week before your ESA would have reduced £1 for £1 so likely working 16 hours/week at the time would have seen no entitlement to Income Related ESA.Contributions based ESA at the time had the same rules as New style ESA does now and you would have needed to have the correct NI contributions in the previous 2 tax years prior to your claim.stay_positive said:I'm confused about this from November 2022
https://www.mind.org.uk/news-campaigns/news/mind-responds-to-autumn-financial-statement/The rollout of ‘Managed Migration’ of people from legacy benefits to Universal Credit has been delayed until 2028.
That link is shocking and not correct at all. As i advised on another thread of yours managed migration for Income Related ESA claimants only has been delayed until at least 2028, unless they claim tax credits. (not for any other benefits)All other benefits such as tax credits are due to be moved anytime up to end of 2024.ESA to UC migrationThe government is pushing back the forced migration of claimants from income-related employment and support allowance (ESA) to universal credit (UC) to 2028. It was due to be completed in 2024, with an impossible target of 2.5 million claimants being moved in that year. The move for tax credits was also advertised on the radio quite a lot last year. Managed migration has started for quite a few areas of the country for those claiming tax credits. Here's another link. https://www.turn2us.org.uk/Jargon-buster/Managed-MigrationSince May, we have expanded Discovery and notified more people in Bolton and Medway as well as expanding to Cornwall in July, Harrow in August, and Northumberland in September.

stay_positive said:So only wtc claimants are being moved to UC 2024?
I'm too confused it causing me anxiety .Benefits included are Income Related JSA, Income Support, housing benefit (for working age people only) and Tax credits. It’s causing anxiety because you’re reading links that aren’t correct, even though I’ve posted the correct information and links to confirm my advice is correct.0 -
Fit notes can now be certified either by doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists and physiotherapists. There's people claiming WTC that have already been invited to apply for UC and they have 3 months to do so.

I received the message saying they haven't made a decision and said I would receive a letter towards end of the month. I highly doubt I have got it with only 4 days to go and no text0

I highly doubt I have got it with only 4 days to go and no textThe text you received is a standard text that's often sent to those that give a mobile number. Decisions can take anything up 12 weeks once the assessment report was returned. You may also receive a letter with exactly the same on it as the text.Who advised you that you will receive the decision by the end of the month?0
-
The automated line said I would receive a decision by end of April0
-
I've never known the automated line to give that information.

Yeah said by the end of April. I didnt think it would be it did x0

Called PIP I havent been awarded. Just waiting to received the letter to see whoso I can appeal.
I am going to get a copy of the assessment to see how much they have lied. I struggle with: anorexia, severe depression, fibromyalgia and 3 bulges in my spine causing tremendous pain. I will most certainly be asking for another assessment.

qwerty12345 said:I will most certainly be asking for another assessment. That very rarely happens when requesting the MR. You don't need the assessment report to request the MR because all this causes is a distraction to what you should concentrate on. Concentrating wholly on the report isn't going to get you a PIP award. For the MR you should put it in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. Include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you.Include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.1
-
I am just waiting for the letter from them to tell me why I have not been awarded. So I know what to put when asking for an MR.
How often is the decision over turned?
0 -
The majority of decisions remain the same, only 23% of decisions change in your favour. Much more successful at Tribunal stage at about 73%. Provided you don’t request a paper based hearing.0
