I had a liver transplant in Feb22.  I have for the last five months been looking for a part time job .  I have always disclosed at 5he end of interview my condition purely because I am tied to the hospital and despite feeling well now, I get exhausted very quickly and cannot do any physical work.  As soon as I mention liver transplant I am never selected for th3 role.  I know I can never prove this is the reason, but now am really struggling for money.  Am I entitled to any benefit, I know I would not get PIP because my mobility is not too bad at the moment, but just asking as this is all very new to me

    Hi @maggie116

That sounds a real shame you haven't had luck in being selected for roles. Please try not to get too disheartened  <3Scope's Support to Work service is free and might be something you want to look into? You'd be allocated an employment advisor who would spend time giving you personalised advice.

In the meantime, have you tried a benefits calculator? If not, definitely give that a go. Plus, although you may feel your mobility isn't too bad, PIP also covers activities of daily living so if you take a look at the various descriptors under this component and believe you would score 8 or above, then consider making a claim.

Just to let you know, I've amended the title of your thread and moved it to our Benefits and financial support category to allow others to see it more easily and respond.

Have a lovely weekend and wishing you well with your health.
