hello, I m scheduled for cervical disc replacememnt in 2 weeks.  I had moderate left arm /triceps pain for about a month, and occasional pins/needles in left hand.  had MRI, which showed herniated disc and  stenosis in November 22.  Howver since thne my symptoms are gone.  I sometimes have slight shoulder ache after swimming.  i'm 55 but otherwise no symptoms in past months.  SHould i still do this surgery?

    Hi @Stan2016 welcome to the forum.
    The only person to decide on this op is you and your consultants.  Might be worth talking to them how you feel and getting their advice. Good luck in which decision you make.

    This is Aziz Ur Rehman an International disable student 
    I want to get scholarships for master in UK 
    However I have no IELTS or other language proficiency test
    I want to get scholarships on disability bases 
    Can you please me in this regard

    Welcome to the community :) I hope you are well?

    As others have said, we don't give out medical advice so I would suggest trying to get an appointment with your surgeon or specialist to discuss everything through again. It sounds like you have some doubts now your symptoms have gone. I would suggest writing everything down, including how your symptoms where before in 2022 and now so you don't miss anything when discussing with your surgeon / specialist :)

    How are you feeling about it going the same way @tony70? It sounds really difficult to deal with. However, I am also hearing you recognise the wider benefits of the ops - despite the limitations - in stopping you from getting paralysed. Does anything usually help on a daily basis?  :)
