Pip, cost of living payment?

Good morning all. I started my claim via the telephone number on the 1st of march. I the had my telephone assessment yesterday with IAS and was a long 1hr 45min call. The assessor was extremely patient and helpful and was put at ease straight away. I then received a text from DWP this morning saying that they have received the pip assessment and would write to me within 8 weeks.
My question is would I be eligible for the extra cost of living payment as a pip claimant (should it be awarded) or would my claim be later than the qualifying period before? If that makes sense.
I have looked online but was not able to see anything that was helpful.

Thanks for the message. That is extremely helpful of you. I'm glad that if my claim is successful that I would be eligible. It's going to help me so much.
