Can someone please explain , a couple of people have said that the I will get my first payment from PIP 3-5 days after its paid . I don't understand ? I thought it went directly into my bank account ? I had a txt saying I've been awarded it and to expect a letter explaining how much etc within next 2 weeks . Had txt 3 days ago but no payment yet . Sorry for sounding stupid

You’ve been advised correctly. When awarded PIP for a first time claim money usually goes into your bank 3-5 working days after it’s paid. Yes, it’s paid into your bank account. It’s not unusual to receive the money in your bank before you receive the decision letter.0

Hi there @TWhite I can see Poppy has replied to you, it sounds likely the payment will come through early next week, as it's 3-5 working days (so not a weekend or bank holiday).
Let us know how things go, and please say if you're still feeling unsure about anything. Well done on getting your PIP award, I know it can be a stressful experience.0
