What date exactly did you report your health condition/send your first fit note?

What was the decision on the first work capability assessment?
Was this 2nd WCA because you reported changes? sorry but it's impossible to advise unless i have all the information.

The first wca found i had limited capability for work due to bronchiectasis, the 2nd wca is because my condition worsened so yes it was a change of circumstances, the 2nd wca was changed on the 7th november 2022

Then the extra money will be paid from the assessment period in which you reported the changes. This means the first payment will be assessment period 18th Oct to 17th Nov and first payment will be 24th Nov 2022.

This is assuming you continued to send fit notes from Nov 2022 up until the decision was made on your new WCA.

Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.

Why did you stop sending fit notes on 1st March? was that last fit note dated until the decision was made?

Thanks. The reason i asked was because it wasn't clear when your last fit note was up until and when the decision was made. It's correct that no further fit notes are needed.

I can see Poppy has helped answer your question around LCWRA but if anything is still unclear, just shout.

FYI: I've moved your thread to our Universal Credit category and amended the title to help others spot what it's about :)

As I advised previously it should be paid from the assessment period in which you reported the changes. Advised here.
Then the extra money will be paid from the assessment period in which you reported the changes. This means the first payment will be assessment period 18th Oct to 17th Nov and first payment will be 24th Nov 2022.

You can request the Mandatory Reconsideration on the decision not to pay it from that assessment period. Tell them when you reported the changes and also tell them that you provided fit notes since the date you reported the changes. There's no waiting period for you because you previously had LCW.

You don't need to go to Citizens Advice because they will only advise you what i advised. You need to do ask i advised here.

You can do this on your journal. It can take up to 12 weeks for a decision on the MR.

That is ok @johnboy59 - please do feel free to let us know what they say and how it goes for you. How are you feeling about the idea of asking for a MR at the moment?  :)

That's still not correct. They have included the waiting period in that.  You were already found to have LCW and you reported changes to your health condition. In your case there will be no waiting period and the extra money should be paid from the assessment period in which you reported the changes. As advised here.
This means the first payment will be assessment period 18th Oct to 17th Nov and first payment will be 24th Nov 2022.

You need to remind them of the date you reported the changes and that there's no waiting period.
