    It could be several months before you have a hearing date. It's always better to either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing.

    So it thats correct then? Does UC have t leave at least a 1p after deduction of overpayment?

    Also, sorry for the questions but if the tribunal would not waive the overpayment, would they be able t help me with the repayment plan? Because I earn 1600 a month and dwp debts want me to repay monthly that I cant afford probs

    The recovery will be down to DWP.

    So DWP had until today to my appeal and they havent. May I kindly you what the next steps are? Also is ther anything I should do? Thank you

    Do you mean they had until today to respond? If so then they very often don’t respond by the deadline. HMCTS will likely extend it. They will probably respond eventually and if they don’t the hearing will just continue as normal. 

    Sorry but can’t advise about what you should do now because I don’t know anything about your case. You may want to get expert advice from an agency near you.

    Hi all,

    I have received the response now from Dwp and also HMTC has responded to me with a Directions notice. Can you  please what Directions notice is? I have attached the pics below?

    Basically it means the DWP hasn't responded so the court service has slapped them with a notice to supply the evidence within 28 days but it will go ahead even if they don't respond.  Nothing for you to worry about.

    Agreed, it's nothing to worry about. DWP very often don't respond in the timescale given. HMCTS often extend that timeframe and if they still don't respond it will just continue as normal. Usually they will respond eventually. 

    You should remove the name you have showing in that letter though because personal details are not allowed on the forum.

    Hi James. DWP Repair Team is responsible for these 'overpayments'. Research the tactics used including ignoring MR requests.

    Hi everyone, 

    Thanks again for the info. Just to update you my appeal tribunal is on the 19th October. May I kindly ask you if you all have any advice for me as its my first time? 
    Please note that on the letter DWP has accepted that it is their error but they still have to collect the overpayment

    Heya @james19o6, I'm just checking in to see how you're doing?  All set for the tribunal?
    Please try not to worry too much, tribunals tend to be a lot different than the usual DWP assessors you're used to.  They're very fair and are there to listen to you.
