how long it will take to get a decision on my PIP claim

Hi I have made my PIP claim on the 6th April 2023 had 2 telephone assessments and I was just wondering how long it will take to get a decision on my claim and also will I get a text first to let me know if I have been accepted please

    Timescales for decisions are up to about 12 weeks after the assessment report is returned to DWP. Sometimes they send a text if there's an award but not always. They do not send texts with refusals. You will recieve the decision letter in the post regardless of what that decision is.
