Text message confusion re PIP

hi everyone. I've just had a phone call from the Case Manager asking to confirm my ID as I had a phone assessment. It's a brand new PIP claim.
I asked him how it's all looking, and he said he's only just picked it up so he can't answer. which is fine!
Then he said that I'll get a letter in the next 3-5 working days with a decision.
I asked if I'd get a text first (I've already had the usual first 2 texts), and he just repeated that I'll get a decision letter via the post.
Is that normal comment, or is it possible instant refusal does anyone know?
I've looked through all the chats & can't see where someone may have been refused by text - only by letter.
sorry if this has been asked before, but i don't know if it's important or not.
thank you

Decision letters can take up to about 2 weeks. If there's an award you will receive payment in your bank between 3-5 days after the payment was sent. Usually you receive payment before the letter. They do not send texts with refusals. They often but not always send a text if there's an award.0

Ah ok, thanks poppy that's confirmed what I thought tbh. I'll hang on a couple of weeks and give them a call if nothing comes by then. Thank you x0
