Hello, I am Bethann, nick name is Tibik.
I have neuro problems that have meant I use a wheelchair, I have a (retired) assistance dog, and I am Autistic. I also have arthritis, and neuroendocrine cancer.
I had worked as a Consultant Nurse until my disability irritated my employer... sigh.
So, I've now worked hard to become proficient with using the Equality Act to protect people like me, worked with solicitors to argue, argued with the council for myself and for others, etc.
I love dog, games, nursing/healthcare, and teaching people that disabled people are not quite so vulnerable as they think: we are stronger and more resilient than anyone wants to know.
I do public speaking, seminars, training, writing, cartooning, crafts, and chatting online.
Saw Scope at Disability Expo - what a wonderful group of people doing amazing work!
Thanks!

LOL @Paddyman03 We can have tremendous influence and power when we know our rights and are not afraid to assert them. When other people see we are confident in not only what we can and cannot do, but also what we are entitled to... well, it makes a difference!
Thanks for your friendly comment!

Good morning and welcome to the community from me @Tibik and thanks for such a great introduction. It's nice to hear you spotted Scope at the Disability Expo in London, how was it?
Just to note, I've edited out your surname from your post, as we encourage members to avoid sharing personal details, this helps keep everyone safe online.
I can see you've already settled really well into the community, but if there's anything we can help with, please ask0
