It’s awful! But I just hope I can get some “normal” even if it’s reduced hours at work as I only work part time 20hours when I work but not been in since December when I was admitted to hospital for little over a week on strong iv antibiotics then again the week before Christmas with the blood clots and put on blood thinners which I’ve been on 8 months n they are bringing me off them in mid august

I am also going to try a phased return and be risk assessed with less duties at work starting in august I could cry as i feel I’m getting a tiny bit of independence back after being so poorly and try and work around my illness now as my doctors have told me this is me my new ‘normal‘

You sound very much like my wife. She had pneumonia in both lungs and by the time she felt that she couldn't carry on it had turned into Sepsis!kay87 said:I had breathing problems and my body ached all over every breath was painful, and ever part of my body hurt, I went to a&e and got diagnosed with pneumonia in my left lung was admitted to hospital on the 1st December for a week was realised for a week and ended up back in with blue swollen leg to which they found a blood clot in my left leg, which broke off and ended up with clots in both my lungs, I’ve been off work all the while this has happened because now i
Have thrombosis in my left leg which keeps swelling and is very painful to walk on it a lot, and only just in March got rid of the pneumonia! I’m only 35!
She ended up in hospital who started to treat her with high dosage antibiotics. After a week she wanted to discharge herself as being around sick people was making her feel worse. They eventually had to let her go but prescribed the medication in a pressurised bottle attached to a canula in her arm. This had to be changed every couple of days.
Then she ended up with DVT in her left leg and then started a on a course of blood thinners issued by the GP. She has this issue every couple of months. She refuses point blank to go to A&E because of the long. long wait. Last time I took her because of the pain in her leg, we turned up at 5pm and arrived back home at 4am the following day!! Never again she said.0 -

It is awful! Used to run round everywhere and now it’s a slow and stop it does my head in. I did my aquafit as advised by my drs at hospital and I’m glad I was with my friend as she had to help me get the lower half of me dressed pants, socks n shoes as my leg was too heavy for me to lift I’m only 35 and it’s horrible and embarrassing! I’m used to helping others now I can’t do it as my leg shakes and my back goes n I’m in agony! My mental health is on the floor but i keep going n trying because of my daughter she keeps me going sometimes I’ll struggle to the car as I’m ok sat down n pick my mum up to walk my daughter into school it’s horrible! Hope your wife and yourself are ok and she’s pain free soon as it’s not great being in constant pain
