L_Volunteer , you made me chuckle 😃.  Yes I definitely could get a flight simulator or maybe even my own aeroplane which could just be parked outside the house lol 😆.  Take care of yourself.

Yeah, but remember you'll need to get planning permission from the local Council for a 'landing strip', beat the 'pot holes'.  :)

I wanted to be a hairdresser/ barber,  but my father "wouldn't allow it."
Made me leave school before taking any exams to work in his forestry business.

I ended up making a very good living but can't help wondering if my life would have turned out differently without all the industrial injuries and the future complications

Ironically my son left teaching to become a barber ...

So kind of like father like son! Does he like being a barber?

Have you thought about being a barber now @welshblue?

@Hannah_Scope ... he loves it.  Him and his mate are going to Liverpool in a couple of weeks to go to homeless shelters etc to give free haircuts and shaves.  He lived there for 5 years or so and wants to do his bit back there after moving back to Wales

Sadly it's a bit late for me.  One of my ailments is Vibration White Finger (Hand arm Vibration) from too many years on a chainsaw.  My grip is something like 20% in my dominant hand ... would have more civil cases to settle than wages coming in lol  o:)

That's wonderful to hear :) I'm glad he loves it.

That's an amazing thing to do, and makes so much difference <3 I'm sorry it isn't something you could do now although I can imagine some of the wonderful looks that may come out of it! :D

I wanted to be an air hostess or join the Army - I nearly made the second choice but parents can be the worse hindrance to a child's future I made sure I wasn't one to my kids but they failed themselves and deeply hurt me.

I always wanted to be a policeman... Or a street musician, luckily my arms work so music really gives me joy.

I wish there was a laughing reaction right now @Strawberry1 and @rebel11 - you both made my day brighter  :D

In which ways do you feel your kids failed themselves @PollyPick? I can hear how you feel hurt by this  :(

@Maxim - It is really positive to hear you are able to enjoy music. Do you have a favourite type of music?  :)

Oh no @doomdoll Do you go and watch dance performances much? May be a way to still enjoy your love of dance?

Not really but i always see stuff online. I sometimes go to the theatre, I am always so envious of the performers but equally I admire them and their uniqueness. I could watch dancing all day and never get bored of it.

I wanted to be a chef when I was younger because I love cooking and baking and eating food.

@doomdoll Do you have Netflix? If you like the ballet they put quite a few performances up like The Nutcracker or Sleeping Beauty as we go into the autumn / winter months. I always am in awe when I watch them, but also jealous because they are so talented.

@durhamjaide2001 What kind of Chef would you have been? Is their a cuisine you prefer to cook?

I always wanted to be an author. I suppose I kind of am! I don't have any published books, but I do write online articles and blog posts. :)

@Chloe_Scope You are! :) Do you want to publish a book? If so, in any specific genre?
