Will my daughter automatically receive LCWRA?

Hi I’m my daughters appointee, my has complex conditions and is 19yrs of age I also have another daughter of 16yrs they are both beautiful young ladies.

My question is my daughter has put a claim in for UC and she is on high rate pip both elements, does she automatically get Lwcra as she does have the capacity/capability to work, I have already put a 3 month sick note in to uc from my daughters GP stating due to her complex conditions she is unable to work.

Hi @alicia1972 - & welcome from me also. Unfortunately having been awarded PIP doesn't automatically qualify anyone to get LCWRA. Hi @alicia1972 and welcome to the community!

As the others have said, PIP and UC are two separate entities, which will mean two separate assessments. But having that sick note in already will certainly help whilst the LCWRA (limited capability for work-related activity) can get sorted out. I remember what a pain it can be though.
