I have just finished an assessment, over Zoom with a psychiatrist and am waiting for the results, I am nervous because I didn't even think that Adults could suffer from this condition until I watched a YouTube video, on ADHD and said to myself, That fits me

Hi Hannah,

It's Zoom I'm anxious about! I'm fine on the phone but will feel even more self-conscious than I would in person - I've never liked having my photo taken.

I believe ADHD assessments are outsourced but the service so far has been superb and far quicker than I'd expected!

I still have not heard back yet except they wanted me to take a Bq test which is like a computer game, where you have to follow lights on the screen
When the doctor went to book the test, It would not let him because of my date of birth, apparently, the test does not work on the over 60s, so I had to be sent another questionnaire to fill out because there was no one left alive that knew me as a child

It is a lot of fuss and bother and such an odd way of getting to a dianosis,
I do not suppose there are many people on this board which are as old so I do not really expect many to participate in the chat

Still waiting, I came across a piece on MSN which said that the NHS was advising Doctors to delay issuing medications because they were running out of them, not sure if this is why I haven't heard, they don't seem to be in any hurry

Heya @dkb123 the waiting is the worst bit! I don't think the lack of meds would be a reason for you not having a reply still, as they tend not to give out meds prescriptions straight away. But I know they have a big backlog of assessments to go through. So hopefully they wont keep you waiting much longer.
