Budgeting advance

in Universal Credit (UC)
Hi, today i telephoned UC to apply for a budgeting advance so i can get a new pump for my boiler and a thermostat as my heating isn't coming on.  The person i spoke to told me to speak to my landlord and when i said my home was owned by mother who i live with she told me my mam has to ask pension credit for help. Is this correct ? Am i not allowed to get an advance ?

    Unexpected expenses are one of the things you can apply for a budgeting advance. Assuming you've been claiming a qualifying means tested benefit for at least 6 months and you haven't received earnings of £2,600 or more (single person) or £3600 (couples) in the past 6 months. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/universal-credit/on-universal-credit/budgeting-advance/

    However, a budgeting advance isn't guaranteed. You can try ringing again to speak to someone else who may agree to the loan, if you qualify.
