Hello I hope I can get some advice,
I am currently on income related esa and pip
this week I received a letter out of the blue.
my dad died in 2005 and he must of had a private pension.
the want to make a one of payment of £173
but im too scared to accept, would this trigger a change of circumstance with my esa?.

It won't be a change of circumstances for your ESA. If it's just a one off payment of £173 then it's likely to be classed as savings/capital so won't affect your ESA if it doesn't take your savings to more than £6,000. However, when you do receive it you will need to report it to ESA and let DWP decide.PIP isn't affected.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
