Hello, my partner started his pip claim on 2nd August, got his forms and sent them off. He had his video assessment nearly 2 weeks ago, he also rang dwp to request the assessment review which should arrive in a week or so. But he was just wondering how quickly do you get the back pay or the decision? As we know this year they have been getting through people a lot quicker. Thankyou in advance

Once the report was returned to DWP a decision can take up to 12 weeks. If successfully awarded money is usually in the bank 3-5 working days after payment was sent, which is usually once the decision is made. Please be aware that when you receive the report, it's not the decision. It's a recommendation only. Whilst they mostly go with it, they have been known to go against it but it's rare.0
