LCWRA and working

Hello

I am currently waiting on an assessment to see if I qualify for LCW/LCWRA. I work 24 hours a week and although I have submitted sick notes, I have continued to work as I cannot afford to not work. However I do have serious heart issues and I struggle every day with the symptoms. 

The fact that I am still working, will this effect my assessment? Should I have went off sick in work or can I continue to work as normal until the assessment result?

    People do work when found to have LCW/LCWRA. However if the work you do contradicts the reasons then it could go against you. 

    Have you been referred for a work capability assessment yet? If not are you claiming a disability benefit such as PIP, DLA or ADP?

    I am awaiting an appointment for the assessment. I do claim PIP yes.

    Should I go off sick while I wait?

    I can't tell you whether you should stop working while you wait. If the work you do doesn't contradict anything then there shouldn't be an issue.
