Hello, I’m writing here about my son who claims lcwra and pip, he’s had a really rough few years being in mental hospitals and so on, earlier this year he was gambling alot online and I’ve heard about these new laws about dwp checking your bank accounts? I’m hearing it’s just speculation but I’m concerned that his gambling activity will be a cause for problems for him, will that be the case?

It isn't a new law because it's just speculation. What you spend your money on is entirely your decision and not DWPs. Providing he doesn't/didn't have more than £6,000 at anyone time then he will be fine.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Hello, I think this is not a problem, the main thing is not to delve into the world of gambling and know the measure. I would also advise you to find some site with payment methods and use only reliable payment methods on the Internet. In general, I do not think that anything can happen to your son.
