Asking for Proof of Identity

Has anyone been asked to send proof of identity and also being told that they have enough evidence to make a decision.  Is this a good thing or just delaying saying no?

    Can I just confirm we're talking about an application for PIP?  Sometimes they feel you've provided enough information to make a decision without an assessment.  It's usually nothing to worry about.  But I understand your concern.

    Sometimes if there's an error in the spelling of your name or an error with your date of birth or NI number they can ask for ID.

    The text you received is a standard text and means exactly what it says. Though if they need ID they may not make a decision until they receive what they've asked for.
