Hello @sunshine05, welcome to the community!
Great news on the award! Hope you'll enjoy getting to know everyone. Coffee lounge can be a great place to get started, or just have a browse of the different categories and get stuck in wherever you fancy. If you have any questions, ask awayRosie (she/her)

Thanks for the warm welcome, been following the forum for weeks, some great advice given, and lovely to see everyone supporting each other. PIP journey, can be daunting to start, and a little scary, but persevere, worth it eventually, sorry some of your journeys have been prolonged and tortuous, I have been lucky.

Update just for information, received text confirming award 19.12.23, contacted DWP today to request copy of assessment documentation, which is being sent by post, advised back payment will be sent 28.12.23. So for me, quite seamless with few delays. Please do not be afraid to call them for advice/updates, the advisor was very helpful.

Hi further update, just for information for those still waiting for their decision.
Applied 16.10.23,
had face to face assessment 08.12.23,
decision text received 19.12.23, back pay paid 22.12.23,
letter with decision arrived 22.12.23.
Not sure if this quickness occurs often, but not too many delays, and when I rang helpline number earlier this week, to ask for a copy of assessment documentation, advisor very helpful.
Do not sit at home worrying, if you need advice call the number, but do be aware, this is just to a call centre, not to the actual DWP.
