Yes they will say either 6 or 8 weeks. We say up to 12 because some wait longer than 8.

That’s perfectly normal and a standard letter. They may also send a text saying the same thing. There’s no timescales from that letter. The only timescale are the up to 12 weeks I advised.

Thank you for telling us about a change. We are sending you a 'PIP How your disability affects you' form. If you have not received it in 2 weeks call us on 0800 121 4433. The date you need to get your completed form back to us is on the front page. We will text you when we receive your form back.

    Friday 1st September 2023

We have received your PIP review form. We may contact you for more information or you may need an assessment with a health professional before we make our decision. We will contact you again if you do. You will continue to get PIP while your award is being reviewed. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.

About your PIP review. The health professional has sent us their report.
We will make a decision on your PIP, but it may take 6 weeks before you hear from us.
You will continue to get PIP while your award is being reviewed.
You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.

On the 7th of Dec I received a letter stating that they have all the evidence needed to make a decision!

I am now 4 weeks out the 6 still waiting on a decision so hopefully not to long to wait now  just thought this may help

Which can be up to 12 weeks, rather than the 6 weeks they advised you.

It will take as long as it takes I'm afraid there's nothing you can do to speed up the process just sit back an wait I have the report so it just depends wether they go of the report or not

Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change.
