Random payment, no award letter or text

Had my telephone review on 8th Nov, received a text the same day to advise report received and could take up to 6 weeks to make a decision. Original award ceased on 27th Nov.

My Nov payment was received but in 2 parts, one on 27th Nov and remainder on 4th Dec.

A further payment was made for December on Friday but for 550.10 (usually 380.00) and I can't work out how this is made up - I've received no text or award letter. I will ring next week but it's all been a very strange experience.

£556.40 every 4 weeks is standard for both parts. £550.10 makes no sense and the only thing you can do is to ring them when they open on Wednesday.

Hi Poppy I hope you’re doing good.
I was reading this thread and I’m not sure if I’m confused as it’s so late and I’m tired lol
I see you say £556.40 is Standard rate for both pip components every 4 weeks.

I receive standard rate for Daily Living and  enhanced for Mobility I receive £556.40 every 4 weeks.
Sorry again if I have got this mixed up.
Im off to sleep now 😊

I'm ok, thank you for asking. I hope you are well too. You are correct, it was an error on my part. No idea why i did that because my PIP is also standard Daily living and Enhanced mobility. :D will put it down to being very late when i commented ;)

Thanks for spotting that error, much appreciated.

Just to make sure if others read this that they don't get confused. This is my error and it should be standard daily living and Enhanced mobility at £556.10 every 4 weeks.

Thank you, yes it makes no sense at all. I'm not expecting to move onto higher rate mobility but also not expecting back pay - this amount does not equate to anything I can recognise.  I'll ring them next week. Merry Xmas x

Hi Poppy oh I’m good thanks.
I just wasn’t sure I kept checking the Pip rates and still doubted myself lol
But no wonder you make an odd error you help a lot off people every day.😊

    @rockfan65
Good morning I hope you can enjoy your Christmas then give them a call once they open again.
    All the best.

Thank you. I do yes. Sometimes my brain doesn't quite work like i want it to, especially when it comes to figures.

Hi, just an update, spoke with DWP this morning, for some reason my award letter wasn't sent out in November, a new one is being sent. My award has increased to Higher rate mobility, the discrepancy was that one day was paid at the old rate hence it not quite being the full amount on the new rate.
