4 months ago for no reason my bank closed my account as my carers allowance was paid into it the allowance was stopped , I then notified the department of my new bank account that I had opened .
Since then I have sent 4 letters and emails to ask when they will send my allowance to the new bank account but to date have had no reply .
I have tried ringing many times but get cut off every time I can't understand what is going on.

Hi @grud and welcome to the community.
I'm sorry to hear about your issues with banking and the DWP. Can I just ask which number you were trying and what happened before you were cut off? I just want to make sure everything's correct there.
I'm just going to move your post to a different category, so more people in the know will be able to see and hopefully offer some top support. I hope that's ok?0 -
When ring ingredients the pension sevice we use their free 800 number0

Yes that's the same number but it's always busy and cuts off after 30 minutes0

You just need to keep trying. Try ringing as soon as they open as that’s usually the best time. It’s no good writing to them because they probably won’t acknowledge that letter. Are you claiming any other benefits?0

Yes attendance allowance0

I’m confused because you can’t claim carers allowance for looking after yourself.0
