someone who knows I need and use a CPAP machine they are telling me that there is an new allowance now for breathing etc and using this machine every night without fail as I stop breathing for a fair length of time

A new allowance? If you mean a welfare benefit then there's no benefits that are awarded because you use a CPAP machine. There's disability benefits but they are not awarded based on any diagnosis.
If you're under state pension age and not living in Scotland then it will be Personal Independence Payment. (PIP) Whether there's any entitlement will totally depend on how your health conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities. If you are state pension age and above then it will be Attendance Allowance but even this isn't awarded based on any diagnosis.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please.
