Hi there. 
Wondered if I could pick your brains. Just been awarded LCWRA. I live in London so the standard allowance didn't even touch the sides. My first fit note was handed in early July. 6 full assessment periods ago. I make it that they owe me 3 months, as you don't get the first 3 months. How long after I receive my awards letter will I see the backpay roughly. I'm going to be much better off going forwards. But that doesn't help me now, and I'm struggling. Thanks for reading, and I appreciate the help.

    I'm sorry to hear you're struggling and I understand the confusion with LCWRA payouts completely.  Were all of your fit notes handed in with no gaps? It's usually 3 payment cycles, then it starts on the 4th I believe? I'm still learning this myself, but some of our regulars know it like the back of their hands, so I'm sure someone can clarify shortly. 
      As for backpay, they will need to calculate that before they can send any information your way.

    Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. Yeah, been signed unfit for work continuously since July. So I should be owed 3 months not including my next payment. I was also told I could get a change of circumstances advance, as my UC is about to increase significantly. But my next payments not till the 19th. I'll be a wealthy man then. Don't help me now though. Cheers

    I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that their calculator fingers move like the wind @Nick5446! That'll be separate from the normal LCWRA payment, so hopefully it'll be soon.

    What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?

    What date do you usually receive your money each month?

    The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods. It’s then paid from the 4th month, with first payment being the end of that 4th month. How much is owed exactly will depend on the answer to the above questions, as it may not be as much as you think it is.

    Hi, can I jump in and ask what you mean no gap. Is 2/3 days still counted as a gap for them?

    2 or 3 days is a gap. A fit note ending on one day and another starting on the following day, isn't a gap.

    If there are any gaps at all then it will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision. Unfortunately, we are not decision makers so can't specifically tell you whether this will be accepted or not.
