Has anyone else on PIP noticed that when you fill in the form, when you tick an answer that says you are incapable or have difficulties doing a task, they will ignore that, & choose the answer that says you are perfectly capable of doing that task? Hence giving you less points, resulting in a rejection.

Hey @JustAngie! Welcome to our community I hope you're doing well today, hope the weather is faring you well too. It's a touch windy here.
Have you just got your decision back? Did you write specific, real, examples of how you're affected or incapable? Often that is the only thing that they will accept. Using very vague terms like "usually" or "often" are disregarded much of the time.
Have you submitted any appeal yet? You can read more about appealing DWP decisions here: Appealing a DWP decision | Disability charity Scope UKThey/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with

Hi Jimm. Thank you so much for replying. I've sent my form in & am awaiting their decision. I get so frustrated with the DWP, because even when I make it very clear that I am unable to do something, they change my answers to state that I am perfectly capable of doing that task. I don't think they even bother to read the form properly. it's like slamming your head against a brick wall! I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem. I find it very unfair that there is plenty of money for illegal migrants, but they make your life miserable if you are disabled. Thanks for your advice & listening to my rant. 😟

Although you told then you can complete an activity, did you tell them why and what exactly happened the last time you attempted that activity? Just telling them you can't do something isn't enough. You need to spell it out to them.
What you need to do if you haven't already is give a couple of detailed real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
I'm not sure what illegal immagrants have to do with it because they can't access any benefits anyway. I don't find that the nicest of comments either if I'm honest.
Being disabled doesn't automatically entitle you to PIP.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thanks for the reply Poppy. The amount of detail they are expecting is an absolute joke! We are set up to fail as far as I'm concerned. I'm sorry if my comment about immigrants upset you, but my point is that the Government can find plenty of money for other causes, but put us through the wringer, for a measly few pounds a month that we really need.
