Hello I am a single mum to a teenage daughter with severe brittle asthma , I do not receive dla for her and have applied twice over the past 4 years only to be refused! I should of appealed but did not , and I'm going to give it once last go at applying! Is their any other parents that have had difficulty claiming dla? Also is their any other parent who has a child with severe brittle asthma?

Hi Mumzy,
Welcome to the community, I hope you find it useful. I've moved your post to our parents group to see if others have had similar experiences.
If you have specific questions about claming for DLA you can ask our benefit experts here: https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/ask-a-benefits-advisor (click on "New discussion").
Thanks,
Alex -
