PIP After State Pension Age
Hello, I'm hoping for an expert's view or someone who has been through the same issue.
I have a PIP award until Oct 2024. In July 2024 I am 66 and will receive the State Pension. I've been trying to resolve this for a couple of weeks now, and the phone waiting time is taking its toll on my patience.
I have read on various sites that if someone is claiming PIP when the State Pension kicks in the award will be turned into an indefinite award. I researched the issue because I have received a text saying a review form is being sent out. I phoned PIP and I'm still not sure. I was told by someone who answered the phone the CAB was wrong. I asked to speak to a Manager who didn't sound too confident in her answer. Who said it depends really? I should check with CAB again. I did and the CAB said their information is correct. I've found a couple of other sources who's websites agree with the CAB. I don't need opinions from these various organisations I want facts. Anyone able to help, please!
