A number of you have asked recently for a place to chat about everyday things away from the more serious issues. So we're pleased to fling open the doors to our new (digital) Coffee lounge, a place where you can talk about whatever you like, from what was on TV last night, pets and hobbies, to how you're getting on with your Christmas shopping, holiday recommendations or anything else.
So pour yourself a coffee, tea or even something a little stronger, and get chatting. Feel free to start a new discussion (give it an interesting and relevant name for the best chance of drawing people in), or join in with any conversation that interests you.

Great idea. To get things started , has anybody else been out enjoying a bit of winter sun today ?
-
Am now about to pop out to get a sandwich so shall see the sun soon enough, having been admiring it through the window this morning
-
Only through the window @milo - but looking forward to a bit of dog walking in the winter woolies this weekend! What about you?Scope
Senior online community officer -
@Sam_Scope I was walking the dog this morning while training for a disability triathlon I want to do next year. (I must be mad lol)
-
Oh good work @milo I am waiting to be signed off to exercise after my latest surgery and then can't wait to get more active.
Have you done a triathlon before?Scope
Senior online community officer -
@Sam_Scope . No, I've never done one before . My able bodied brother has done a few though I don't if other forum users have heard about it but Sophia Warner , a Paralympian with CP has set up a new event where you can compete in mixed disabled /able bodied teams regardless of your ability . Don't know if we can put the link out there for it? Sounds like a lot of fun. Here's the link to the website.superhero series - Superhero Series

-
Hello, is anyone out there?
-
Hi Bam and all, glad you like the new area. Do feel free to start new threads on the category page itself by clicking 'new discussion', and remember to give it a descriptive title. It's a little quiet at the moment, but I'm sure if enough people get interested then we can get something going here

Hi I live in the Nottingham area are there any support groups around please?

Hi @iza,
That's strange! Our community inbox appears to be receiving emails. It looks from your message that your email was too large for our system (I think the limit is 5mb or 10mb). Were you sending a large attachment?
-
Good morning everybody. I live here in sunny California in the United States. I just wanted to tell everybody out there that it is pouring down rain here in California. We may float away
-
Oh dear, you wont get much sympathy @bam we are mid winter and it's freezing here in the UK!Scope

The answer is in the last line. The message was 26 megabytes!
The receiving mail server rejected it as it was larger than it's limit setting.
I assume you had one or more attachments. Can you split the email into several smaller ones ? Alternatively Dropbox is an option.
Oh, and if that was your private email address then I recommend that you remove it from your post before you get spammed -

Yes, sam_scope but it's sunny here LOL 9 - 10 months a year so when it starts raining so hard we start panicking thinking that our God is trying to cleanse our wicked wicked sinful lifestyles. You know the whole 40 days and 40 nights of rain thing.
