I'm trying to find out how autism services are in all UK's area. In specific, I'm very curious about LA, NHS and education provision for children. Are families happy with their CDC? Does children get basic therapies such as speech and language therapy or occupational therapy? How often do they get it and how they get assess for communication, sensory, fine and gross motor skills issues? Do your area has an "Autism Team" that works regularly with children? How often paediatricians check the children development? Please, this will be really useful to me as I'm the mum of a little autistic boy and I'm trying to find out what is he entitled to and what are his rights. Many thanks! - Marta

Have you joined the Autistic Society, @MartaGV My daughter was diagnosed at the age of 3 and she is now 21. I found the Autistic Society of great benefit over the years. They can also tell you of any local groups in your area. http://www.autism.org.uk/0
