Hello - hope everyone is well. Thank you for being here. Even though its online, I am still feeling a bit anxious but want to hear and share experiences of work issues while dealing with a traumatic event.

Hi @sandybeach, welcome to our community I understand feeling anxious talking about subjects like work issues. My partner went through a bad experience with an employer last year while dealing with mental health problems, she's doing much better now with a much more understanding employer.
You don't have to go into detail and you don't have to explain any event, but are you having issues with your work right now?
It's okay if you don't want to talk about it here, we have some advice pages you may want to look at about work such as: Managing stress at work | Disability charity Scope UK.
You can view all of our work-related advice pages here: Advice and support | Disability charity Scope UK
If your employer is causing issues you can also speak to ACAS: Contact us | Acas

Thank you for your reply and welcome. I am dealing with an issue at work. I have a very demanding job which in the main I can cope with but having returned from long term sick leave, I get adhoc deadlines that are unrealistic and unnecessary which makes me more anxious and stressful. Occupational health have recommended extra time to do my work but my organisation have said it’s down to me to manage my situation as I’m experienced enough to do so. The organisation has lots of policies for supporting wellbeing, disabilities etc, but in practice I’m finding that isn’t the case. I’ve raised it to top level and it’s the same response. I want to work, but I’m finding it too difficult not having the support I need. I’d like to find a new employer but who wants to take on someone who has been off for six months and has anxiety and ptsd from a recent trauma who can no longer cope with high demands of work.
